Kyrgyz law enforcement agencies have detained 15 police snipers, who are accused of firing at opposition supporters during a protest rally in the capital Bishkek in early April, deputy interim premier Azimbek Beknazarov told the ITAR-TASS news agency on Monday.
He recalled that there were scores of snipers among those firing on the protesters in central Bishkek on April 7th in a crackdown that killed 91 people and injured at least 1,500 more.
