The Association of the Russian speaking authors has been established in Australia, ITAR-TASS reported.

It welcomes writers, poets, journalists and translators residing not only in Australia but also in New Zealand and in Russia.

The establishment of the association coincided with the 65th anniversary of the Great Victory which is being marked this year.  To mark the anniversary the association launched a contest for writers dedicated to the veterans of the Second World War. According to the organizers, many Russian who live abroad do not forget their roots.

Thirty two writers have submitted their works to the contest.
