Russia starts Siberia wargames

The Russian military is starting its biggest wargames this year. The area is Siberia, the timeframe, June 29 to July 8, and the forces, tens of thousands of servicemen backed by planes, helicopters and ships.

According to Chief of Staff General Nikolai Makarov, the Vostok-2010 exercise will be building on Osen-2009, acted out in western and northwestern Russia and Belarus.
