The CIS member-states are currently expanding the dialogue on ABM cooperation, including debates on a treaty on jointly fighting aircraft terrorism, said Secretary of the CIS Defense Ministers Council Alexander Sinaisky at a session of the Coordinating Committee for Air Defence Issues in Moscow.

According to the official, Kazakhstan put forward the idea for jointly ensuring air traffic safety within the Commonwealth in 2009, which was supported by most of the CIS members. As a result, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan hold regular exercises, deliver equipment and exchange information.
