Bulgaria will pay 6.5 million euros under a project to build a 300-kilometer oil pipeline from the Bulgarian port of Burgas to Alexandroupolis in Greece.
A statement to that effect was released after a meeting in Moscow between ‘Trans-Balkan Pipeline’ Chief Executive Vladislav Yemelianov and Bulgaria’s Vice-Premier Simeon Dyankov.
The pipeline with a capacity of 35 million ton a year will pump oil bypassing the crowded Bosporus and Dardanelles.
Russia, Bulgaria and Greece clinched this deal in 2007.
