Scientist warns current heat wave may become a norm

In 60 years' time the current heat wave may become normal if mankind fails to find a way to bring down the discharge of greenhouse gases, a leading Russia environmentalist said on Wednesday.

Alexei Kokorin, the head of the WWF's Climate Program in Russia, said that abnormal heat spells had been registered here before, but none of them had been this long.
