Debris from a satellite destroyed in 2007 by a Chinese missile is posing no danger to the International Space Station, the Russian Flight Control Center announced.

Possible conjunction with a piece of the Chinese Feng Yun satellite debris had been monitored earlier this week.

If the debris would have really approached the station at an unacceptably close range, an avoidance maneuver would have been required.
