In a commentary on Thursday, the Russian Foreign Ministry lashed out at the 2010 State Department report on arms-control compliance, which Moscow complained clouds the ongoing “reset” of relations between Russia and the United States.

The report, among other things, points the finger at Russia, which allegedly violates a raft of international agreements, not least on non-proliferation of the weapons of mass destruction.

The document also berates Russia for cheating on its obligations under a new Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty – an allegation that Moscow says holds no water.

“The report indicates Washington continuing to lean on the Cold War-style stereotypes, which are out of sync with the burgeoning bilateral bride-building, “the Russian Foreign Ministry pointed out.
