Germany pays last respects to Love Parade victims

Germany is paying last respects to the victims of the Love Parade techno music festival in the city of Deisburg, where 21 people were killed and many more injured during the stampede on July 24.

A memorial service was held at the Deisburg Salvator Church on Saturday in an event that was attended by Chancellor Angela Merkel and President Christian Wulff.

Scores of people have lit candles, left notes and placed flowers on the site of the deaths and injuries.
