North Korea is ready to resume talks with South Korea, the US, Japan, Russia and China on the denuclearization of the Korean peninsula.
This news comes from the head of a Chinese delegation just back from talks in Pyongyang.
North Korea walked out of the six-party talks in April 2009 after the UN Security Council issued a resolution condemning the test launch of a North Korean ballistic missile.
Seoul, meanwhile, refuses to return to the negotiating table before its northern neighbor has officially apologized for the March 26 sinking of the Cheonan corvette. Pyongyang resolutely denies the charge.
