North Korea will force Japan to pay compensation for: “The violation of the honor and dignity of the Korean nation during the period of four decades of occupation." This statement was made by the Central Committee of the Democratic Front for the Unification of Korea reports ITAR-TASS.

In August 1910, Japanese authorities, on the basis of a trumped up "Treaty of Annexation" imposed a regime of colonial rule on the Korean peninsula, the statement said. The continuation of aggressive and invasive designs by Japan were based on the unfounded claim to a small group of islands called Dokdo (Takeshima) in the Sea of Japan, which belong to North Korea. Tokyo must understand that: "This policy does not comply with modern times and draw a line through its militaristic past," said Pyongyang.

From 1910 to 1945 years Japan deported more than 8.4 million Koreans. Nearly a million died, said the North Korean agency KCNA.
