Russia set to settle Nagorno-Karabakh issue

Russia is set to settle the Nagorno-Karabakh issue once and for all. President Medvedev made this statement as he spoke at the Baku State University on Friday. 

As a co-chair nation of the Minsk Group, Russia, the president said, is determined to find a lasting solution to the conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia over Nagorno-Karabakh. 

Addressing students and teachers, President Medvedev reminded those present that Russia is a Caucasus nation and will proceed from its own interests in the region. 

President Medvedev said he had organized a large number of meetings between leaders of Azerbaijan and Armenia in the past few months.
