Russia will assist Vietnam in building its first nuclear power plant.

Rosatom President Sergei Kirienko has said in Hanoi that the construction will proceed under the supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency in strict compliance with the international law.

Vietnam strictly honors its obligations under international nuclear security treaties.

The agreement to build a nuclear plant in Vietnam will be signed during President Medvedev’s visit to Hanoi in October.
