Russian martial artists bagged three gold medals on the penultimate day of the World Combat Games in Beijing.

With 12 gold, seven silver and nine bronze awards Team Russia is second only to the event's Chinese hosts who lead the pack with 15 golds.

Friday's golds were won by Russian Sambo wrestlers Bair Omoktuyev and Marianna Aliyeva.

Pankratiast Maindur Magomedov came out on top rolling all over Belarussia's yevgeny Alyantsevich 8-2.
