New air cushion developed in Japan

Scientists at Hiroshima University in Japan have come up with a new concept of an air cushion designed to protect... pedestrians!

The new device is an inflatable panel covering part of the vehicle to make sure that people who happen to be hit by the moving car do not get seriously hurt.

The developers hope their invention will be mass produced already next year.
