Silent Souls by Russian director Alexei Fedrochenko will be shown as part of the competition lineup of the 67th Venice Film Festival that goes underway later today.

A lyric mystification with a surrealistic touch, based on a script by young Russian author and playwright Denis Osokin, the Silent Souls will have its world premiere in Paris scheduled for late October.
