Reconstruction of Battle of Borodino to be staged outside Moscow

A youth festival kicked off in the Moscow Region on Sunday, with participants specifically grappling with a historical reconstruction of the September 7, 1812 Battle of Borodino, which added significantly to the defeat of Napoleon’s Grand Army in Russia.

The reconstruction, which is annually visited by thousands of tourists from Russia and beyond, will this year see the involvement of 1,500 people, 200 horses and 50 cannons.
