Some 200 people died Sunday after a river ferry caught fire and sank in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
According to one of the few survivors the boat overturned on the Kasai river, a tributary of the Congo river, in the west of the vast central African country. Only 15 people managed to get ashore, the provincial governor's office said.
Scores of people are killed there each year in river disasters usually involving overcrowded boats.
