A rehabilitation center for rare tigers will soon be built in Russia’s Far East in what ecologists say aim to specifically boost the population of the Amur tigers in the area.

A wide array of factors annually contribute to reducing the tiger population in the Far East, ecologist explained, citing severe weather conditions and poaching.

The construction of the center, which will become the first of its kind in Russia, is slated to begin in the middle of November.
