Russian “Progress” to splash down in Pacific

The Russian Progress spacecraft that has been orbiting the Earth for a week as a research laboratory is due to splash down and be drowned at the so-called spacecraft cemetery in the Pacific at 4:06 p.m. Moscow time today.

This comes in a statement by the Mission Control Centre near Moscow.

The cargo spaceship undocked from the ISS and moved into a lower orbit on August 31st.

The ISS crew loaded it with more than a ton of garbage and used equipment.
