Two asteroids pass near Earth in one day

Two asteroids passed close to the Earth on Wednesday, a spokesperson for NASA said, adding that neither of them came close enough to hitting the planet.

Both asteroids could be watched with the help of amateur telescopes.

Though asteroids pass near Earth almost every day, it is quite rare when two or more asteroids can be observed passing within the distance of the moon on the same day, NASA experts say.
