Traffic on two highways in the Republic of Khakassia, Eastern Siberia, has been blocked due to heavy smoke caused by wildfires, raging on an area of 10 hectares. Four firefighting vehicles and 26 people have already been sent to the site.

A total of five forest fires are burning across Khakassia at present, all of them in remote and inaccessible areas. Special fire-prevention rules were introduced in the republic on Thursday, prohibiting people to visit forests.
