Bomb blast prevented at Irganai Dam

Security forces have defused an explosive device in one of the turbine rooms of the Irganai hydroelectric plant in Dagestan.

Interior ministry reports say the bomb, equivalent to 3 kg TNT, was planted in the section that had been hit by fire the day before and was defused by means of a robot manipulator.

Police are investigating.
