Ex-NATO head speaks at Yaroslavl forum

The Global Policy Forum has started in Yaroslavl on Thursday under the aegis of the Russian President Dmitry Medvedev.

Politicians, analysts, businessmen and scientists will spend tow days discuss the role of the state in securing global security and stability.

Addressing the forum, the former NATO chief, the board member for BP, Lord George Robertson, urged to “shake off outdated stereotypes” about so-called Russian threat and NATO expansion.

“Today we are facing new challenges and should be united to answer them”, Mr. Robertson said.
