Russian census results to be unveiled by end of 2012

The final returns of the recent All-Russia census are due to be made public before the end of 2012.

The Rossiyskaya Gazeta daily will have carried the results of the first stage of the census by May 31st next year.

Earlier the authorities said they would not be able to process up the census results before 2013.

According to the previous census in Russia in 2002, the population of this country made up 145,274,000 people.
