Russia to help Nepal with hydroelectricity - Putin

Russia is prepared to help Nepal with the construction of a hydroelectricity plant and the modernization of other industrial facilities.

Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin announced this in the course of his meeting with his Nepalese counterpart Madhav Kumar Nepal, who is in St. Petersburg for the tiger preservation forum.

The Nepalese PM supported this initiative, reminding that the first hydroelectricity plant in his country was built by the USSR, which also supported the erection of other industrial works.
