A group of Pacific Fleet ships have taken part in Russia-India naval games in the Indian Ocean.
The Pacific group received a hearty welcome as they called at the Indonesian port of Surabaya on their way from the Gulf of Aden.
The host port invited the visiting crew to see the sights and take part in football matches and volleyball competitions.
In turn, the Admiral Panteleyev’s crew held an open day for Surabaya’s residents.
Russian ships are escorting merchant ships as part of an anti-piracy operation in the Indian Ocean.
