Iran would be ready to respond to any possible military attacks, Iran’s ambassador Mahmoud Reza Sadjadi told a press conference in Moscow Thursday.

“If they try attacking Iran, we will retaliate”, he said.

The statement was made following numerous reports in the media that the US and Israel could strike Iran’s nuclear facilities. The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) published a report on Iran’s nuclear program last November.

The report claimed that Tehran had conducted work on the development of nuclear weapons until 2003 and could have resumed this work recently.
