Russian violinist and conductor Vladimir Spivakov and pianist Olga Kern gave a triumphant performance at New York`s Carnegie Hall on Saturday.
Apart from the announced Johannes Brahms`s Violin SonataNo. 3, Stravinsky`s Italian Suite, Shnitke`s Prelude in memory of Dmitri Shostakovich, and the Piano Trio No. 2 by Shostakovich, Spivakov and Kern performed a habanera, a Hungarian dance and a Polka as encores.
On Sunday the duet is performing in Chicago to continue their US tour in Seattle and San Francisco.
