Protesters clashed with police Sunday evening in central Athens. A group of protesters pelted police with stones in the Syntagma Square in front of the Greek Parliament. The police resorted to tear gas. The clashes were of a minor scale, and were soon over.

Around 5000 people took to the streets on Sunday in Athens, protesting against a new 130 billion euro bailout agreement with the EU, which may be approved on Monday by finance ministers of the eurozone countries.
