The Japanese scientists have discovered a protein that they said is capable of detecting fat and plays a role in prompting the body to burn fat, news reports said on Monday.
The discovery comes after a meticulous analysis of the genetic sequence of 20,000 Europeans, including the French and the Britain, during which the scientists found that those without the so-called GPR120 genes were 1,6 times more likely to be obese.
