USS Carl Vinson enters Persian Gulf

The US nuclear-powered aircraft-carrier Carl Vinson has entered the Persian Gulf to relieve USS Abraham Lincoln, which has recently left the area, according to the US Navy.

The Carl Vinson is said to have crossed the Strait of Hormuz and cast anchor at the Dubai port, in the United Arab Emirates, last Friday.
