Ukraine’s President Viktor Yanukovych has appointed Valery Khoroshkovskiy first vice-premier, dismissing him from the post of finance minister, which he took over a month ago.
Prior to that, Khoroshkovskiy, a prominent businessman and politician, headed Ukraine’s Security Service. Over the years he was deputy head of the presidential administration, Minister for Economics and issues of European integration, head of the State Customs Service.
The previous vice-premier Andriy Klyuyev resigned on February 14th - he was appointed Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.
