Left-wing activist Sergei Udaltsov has urged the Russian opposition followers to turn out in their millions for a protest march on the eve of the inauguration of President Elect Vladimir Putin, which is scheduled for May 7th .
He voiced his proposal during an unauthorized rally in Moscow’s Pushkin Square on Saturday afternoon.
Other speakers lambasted the conviction of Moscow businessman Alexei Kozlov on charges of fraud and the guilty verdicts in the trial of the four members of the Pussy Riot punk-rock group who had been charged with insulting Orthodox worshipers.
Police broke up the rally, making two arrests.
