Heavy rains that struck Nicaragua have killed nine people. All the victims are farmers who drowned when a river overflowed its banks.
Another 5,200 people in the country have been affected by the flooding.
Rains have not stopped in Nicaragua for two weeks with high water levels flooding more than a thousand homes and destroying 30 other buildings.
Hundreds of trees have been uprooted which has disrupted transport links along the Pan-American Highway which passes through Nicaragua.
The authorities are conducting operations to ensure the safety of all affected.
