The Bilderberg Group meeting happens every year. It’s an unofficial invitation-only conference of approximately 140 members of societies elite from North America and Western Europe. They meet to discuss off the record “topics of current concern, especially in the fields of foreign affairs and international economy”. The role of the Bilderberg meeting has been debated among scholars and journalists for decades. This year’s meeting began Thursday and wraps up this weekend at a hotel near Washington D.C.
