The UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has appealed to all nations with a potential to develop nuclear weapons to join the Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty without delay.
The UN Secretary-General’s appeal to the participants in the international conference on nuclear disarmament that’s under way in Astana, Kazakhstan, was read by Ban Ki-moon’s special representative, Head of the UN Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia, Miroslav Jenca.
Ban Ki-moon also urged all nations to observe the nuclear test moratorium until the treaty came into force.
