Croatian prosecutors have charged former Prime Minister Ivo Sanader with stealing 3.5mln euros by acquiring a state-owned building in central Zagreb at a knockdown price.
Sanader denies the charge. One of his co-defendants, however, former Farming Minister Petar Cobankovic, has made a plea bargain with the prosecution and admitted his guilt in the case.
Earlier charges laid against Mr Sanader included illegal profiteering and taking a 10mln-euro bribe.
