The Gazprom securities were bought by Romney in March and sold in September, ahead of the election campaign’s coming into an active phase in the USA.
The Yandex shares were bought by Romney in June and sold in August of 2011.
In both cases Romney suffered losses. In 2007 Mitt Romney, who ran for president in the USA for the first time, said that his investments must be in accordance with his political convictions.
