The storm may be accompanied by strong winds, heavy rain, flooding, and temperature drops, the service said.
Hurricane Sandy that had hit the country at the end of October claimed more than 100 lives, caused $20 billion in damages, and left more than 8.5 million people without power.
Meanwhile many gas stations in New York and New Jersey are still out of power or unable to transport fuel to their stations. There are long lines at those few stations still in service.
