Russia hopes the forum will give a new impetus to political and business cooperation between Russia and the Council’s member countries.
Mr. Lukashevich said the meeting will be attended by Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov who will discuss a number of global issues with his Persian Gulf counterparts, including the war in Syria and collective security in the region.
Sergei Lavrov is also to meet Saudi leadership on the sidelines of the forum to talk on bilateral cooperation between Moscow and Al Riyadh.
