The university has already appealed to the judicial bodies with a demand to abrogate the reform but the District Court and then the Court of Appeal ruled that the given lawsuit was groundless . In June of 2012 the Supreme Court left the majority of clauses of the law that more than once served as an apple of discord between various political groups in force.

However, as it became clear later, the enemies of the above-mentioned reform are determined to go on with their demands. This summer the administration of Liberty University brought a new lawsuit.

It is rather doubtful that the demands of the college administration will come as a surprise to someone, especially, in the light of previous disputes over the reform, which have been shaking the society for a long time now. The university is dissatisfied with the clauses this law contains, making it obligatory for U.S. citizens to obtain health insurance under the threat of a fine and employers – to guarantee health insurance to their workers. Among other things, representatives of the Christian University were angered by the demand to employers to include expenditures for contraceptive services in the insurance plan. As is known, radical Christians in the US have a dread of everything that concerns family planning, including contraceptive services and abortions.

The court ruling to restore the demands shows that the time has not come yet for the presidential administration to celebrate victory. Obama’s Health Care Reform or Obamacare, as media people called it, has become one of the main projects of the U.S. President. The recognition of the reform by the Supreme Court marked the resounding victory of President Obama, which like the elimination of bin Laden ensured Obama’s moral superiority and proved one of his main trump cards in the 2012 presidential elections. However, we should not forget that the adoption of this reform did not come easy to the White House.

The main argument of the enemies of Obama’s Health Care Reform was an allegation saying that Obamacare runs counter to the U.S. Constitution. According to the new law, all U.S. citizens, except representatives of the poorest sectors of the society will have to obtain health insurance under the threat of a fine. Statements made by the authors of this reform that all those who will not be able to afford health insurance will use government subsidies and that the new measure will make medical service more affordable failed to persuade the skeptics.

The enemies of Obamacare have not reconciled themselves with their defeat. However, once Obama won the elections, his position became stronger than it was last summer, when a defeat in the fight for this reform could have wrecked all his political plans.
