According to a report by the Renmin Ribao daily, China’s new political leader urged the country’s top-echelon officials during a Central Committee Politburo meeting to give up living their jet-setting lifestyles and cut down on the number of various events to win the population’s trust and support.
The parties to the Politburo meeting approved the “rules of eight points” that order the leaders of all levels to abide by the new code of conduct.
