A few hours before entering the port of Apia, "Sedov" made a leap into the future, by crossing into a different the time zone.

Participants of the trip "lost" one day because of crossing the international date line in the direction from America to Asia.

According to information received from the vessel, Apia is decorated with Christmas trees, with garlands strung up on the coconut palms. The vessel is scheduled to replenish stocks of food, water and fuel.

The round-the-world trip, dedicated to the 1150th anniversary of Russian statehood, began May 20 in St. Petersburg.
