The Taliban offered to create a temporary transitional government and to amend the constitution to ensure it is based on Islamic principles.

In addition, they demanded that the rights and freedoms of all ethnic groups in the country, as well as political parties, be protected.

According to a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan, the Taliban’s requests don't make sense, since under current laws all the political forces in the country can play a constructive and productive role in the development of the state.

The government repeated what has always been their position, namely that the rebels must break ties with international terrorist groups, and respect the constitution and human rights of the people, especially the rights of women.
