On October 9 Malala was wounded in the head and neck as a bus she and her fellow students were travelling in came under fire in the city of Mingora in the Swat Valley.
Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan has claimed responsibility for the attack.

Malala Yousafzai nominated for Nobel Peace Prize
More than 150 French lawmakers have formally asked the Nobel Committee to award the next Nobel Peace Prize to the Pakistani campaigner for girls’ education Malala Yousafzai.
For five years now, Malala has been active as a blogger. In October, she was seriously injured in an assassination attack by the Pakistani Taliban.
This year’s Nobel Peace Prize went to the European Union.

Pakistani schoolgirl attacked by Taliban sent to UK for treatment
The Pakistani schoolgirl who was shot by Taliban gunmen for pushing for girls to be educated has been sent to the United Kingdom for medical treatment, a military spokesman said on Monday.
The spokesman said in a statement that 14-year-old Malala Yusufzai, whose shooting has drawn condemnation abroad and at home, will require prolonged care to fully recover physically and psychologically.
Taliban militants attempt on life of 14-year old human rights activist
Taliban extremist militants who are active in the northwest of Pakistan have made an attempt on the life of a prominent human rights activist, specifically women’s and children’s rights activist, a 14-year old eighth-grade Pakistani school student from the town of Mingora, Malala Yousafzai.
The terrorists fired at a school bus with Malala and her classmates in Mingora on Tuesday night. Several bullets hit Malala’s head. The attackers escaped. According to the doctors, Malala’s condition is very grave. The surgeons have extracted five bullets from the girl’s head, but she is still in a coma.
President Asif Zardari of Pakistan has ordered the girl to be sent to one of the best foreign clinics by a special flight.
The attempt on her life has caused a major stir in Pakistan. Her name was first mentioned in the world a year ago when her diary was published in the West. She recounted in the diary the way Taliban militants banned her and other children from going to school.
Pakistani police arrest suspects in girl blogger attack
Pakistani police have arrested 200 suspects of masterminding a murder attempt of 14-year-old Pakistani girl Malala Yousafzai.
Later, 165 of them were released.
Schoolgirl was shot in the head and neck by Taliban insurgents because of her online diary about girls' education and life in Swat Valley in northwestern Pakistan, controlled by Islamists who oppose schools for girls.
