First time it will happen on December 31 when the ISS is above New Zealand and the last time on January 1 when the ISS is above the Pacific Ocean east off the Australian coast.
The ISS crew includes Russian cosmonauts Oleg Novitsky, Evgeny Tarelkin, Roman Romanenko, US astronauts Kevin Ford, Thomas Marshburn and Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield.
