According to Ms. Timakova, the prime minister had received oral reports from Deputy PM Arkady Dvorkovich, emergency chief Vladimir Puchkov and transport minister Maxim Sokolov and dispatched the latter to head a special committee on the ground.
5 injured in Vnukovo plane crash
At least five people have been injured in a passenger plane crash in Moscow’s Vnukovo airport, a police spokesperson has told reporters.
Three of the passengers are reported to be in very serious condition after the plane skidded off the runway and caught fire while crash-landing.

Moscow’s Vnukovo airport will be closed till 6pm MSK, following the crash of a Tu-204 passenger plane.
This came in a statement by Vnukovo spokeswoman Yelena Krylova.
Plane crash-lands in Moscow airport
A passenger plane has skidded off the runway and caught fire while landing in Moscow’s Vnukovo airport, police say.
According to initial eye-witness reports, the aircraft crash-landed on the Kievsky highway near the airport.
It has allegedly fallen into pieces upon impact. Witnesses say some passengers and crew members survived the crash.
