According to the Arab newspaper Ash-Sharq al-Awsat, the MPs approved a new name, that of State of Libya, which will be used until a new constitution is adopted.
Libya’s fundamental law since 1977 has been the Green Book by the late Colonel Gaddafi.
Under the document, the people were to yield power directly through people’s committees and trade unions.
