This was declared by the Serbian Government Office for Kosovo and Metohija.
It appealed to the EU Rule of Law Mission, demanding protection for the Serbian population of the region. This call is made public after a series of incidents in which Albanian extremists desecrated over 50 graves at Orthodox cemeteries, and attempted to attack a church.
The Office called on the international community not to ignore the "lynching and violence against Serbs and their monuments”.
What is happening in Kosovo is "shameful for the world, for all international organizations", says Belgrade.
